Barry M Gelly Polishes - Spring 2016*

Next up on the Barry M swatch-a-thon are the new additions to the Gelly range. The colours in this Spring update aren't that dissimilar to the new Speedy shades so I guess it's perfect for those people who are either all about fast drying or hi-shine. You don't feel like you're missing out because you don't like one range over another. Follow me under the cut to see the swatches and my thoughts...

Barry M Spring '16 Speedy Polishes - Swatches and Review

I think this week will informally be known as 'Barry M' week. I've got the Spring '16 releases from THREE of their nail polish ranges to show you guys so it's going to be swatches upon swatches this week but you guys like 'em. The first post this week is all about the new Speedy polishes that have joined the fast-drying range. The four new shades cover a variety of nude shades, as well as a nice dusky purple shade.

Luxe Camouflage feat. Models Own

Hey guys, today's post is inspired by the one polish, Grace Green by Models Own. I love the grungy vibe it has and I was inspired to put together some sort of luxe camouflage look combing some of my all time fave Models Own shades.

The base shade, as mentioned before is Grace Green. The other shades include Nude Icing, Golden Green, Chrome Rose and Lunar Grey. I basically layered all the shades on top of one another using a striping brush. You don't have to be neat or particular with this design. You can go for more of a traditional camo design or try and make your shapes a bit softer like I have. I just love this combo of colours and I think this is a really easy design that anyone can do with the right arsenal of shades.

I'll be posting a video tutorial for these nails over on my Instagram later today so look out for that! What colours would you put together for this look? Let me know in the comments below and be sure to follow, subscribe and like all the social media sites on the left. By the way, would you like to see longer, Youtube videos of nails? Let me know! Until next time :)

Beyoncé Formation Nail Art & Video Breakdown

So over the weekend, Beyoncé dropped her latest single and video with no prior publicity or marketing but sure when you're Beyoncé, why bother with such silly things?!? Myself and approximately 8 million other people (as of 7/02/16) have watched it on a loop. On the surface, its a visually stunning video which shows Beyoncé in a myriad of different outfits and guises as well as the city of New Orleans during the grips of Hurricane Katrina, a striking sequence with a young black boy in front of riot police and a cameo by Blue Ivy. I've done some nail art inspired by the video but first, some thoughts on the video.
