Jacava Woodlanders Collection* Swatches & Review + Competition

To celebrate the launch of their new Autumn collection, Woodlanders, Jacava have launched a new competition where you could win the entire collection and I have a few swatches from the new collection to get you in the mood.

Featuring some gorgeous sage greens, greys, purples and red, Woodlanders is a collection which is the epitome of Autumnal sophistication.  Below, I've got Montrose Place, Kings Road and Shawfield Street for you guys to see so follow me under the cut to find out what I thought of the new collection, as well as details for the competition.

Montrose Place - Montrose Place is a dark red/burgundy shade which is quite similar to Pantone's colour of the year Marsala.  The above swatch is three thin coats and no top coat.  It's a crelly texture which I find really nice in red shades.  You can see how much gloss there is in the shade without top coat but I'd always recommend using a top coat for longevity.

Kings Road - Kings Road is described by Jacava as a light sage but I find it a bit cooler and closer to a grey.  The above shade is two coats and no top coat.  Sorry for the mess of my thumb by the way, it's the remnants of a tea bag that tried to protect my nail from breaking but eventually gave up the ghost, hence the stubbiness of it.  All in all, a nice autumnal shade that would be great for those who can't wear loud shades in work.

Shawfield Street - Another sage shade from the collection, this is a darker, more green shade than the previous one and its a shade I've never really come across before.  Again, this is two coats with no top coat.

Jacava polishes are £15.50, which I know is very expensive for most but the polishes that I've used have always been great quality and they are 9-free, which means they are free from nine ingredients that can be found harmful.  Most good quality polishes are at least three free so you can see where the higher price point is applied with this polish, as well as the fact the polish is made in the UK.
