Kiko Milano Power Pro Nail Lacquer* Swatches and Review

So if you follow me on Insta, you'd have seen these lovely polishes pop through my letter box a few weeks ago and now I finally got the chance to swatch them, as well as test their lasting power. The Kiko Milano Power Pro polishes are pitched as being a salon quality lacquer with a high shine finish and the ability to last up to seven days. Pop on under the cut with me to check out the polishes and see whether they lasted the week.

I received the same three colours as all the other bloggers who have tested these polishes out so I apologize for there not being a lot of variety in seeing this range in general but hopefully you like reading different people's perspectives but just bear in mind that there are 45 colours available.

#02 Camellia - Camellia is a lovely light dusky rose, the likes I've not really seen before and my definite favourite out of the three polishes. It did need three coats for full opacity but that's standard when you are dealing with lighter coloured polishes. The formula is a creme and not streaky. The polish evened itself out although it goes on a bit thick so be careful to dab your brush when applying so you don't flood the cuticles. This swatch, and the rest are all with no top coat so you can really see the high gloss shine of the polish.

#12 Fuchsia - The naming of this polish is a case of it does exactly what it says on the tin. Fuchsia is a bright fuchsia pink which only needed two coats for full opacity. Although I seem to own A LOT of bright pinks, I'm not one to wear them by themselves so while it wouldn't be one I would purchase myself, I appreciate that its a very nice pink for those who are into this sort of shade. Again, with no top coat you can really see the glossy finish.

#13 Red - Well, you can't fault Kiko for not being straight to the point LOL! Red is a post-box red which is not too warm or too cold (although it reads a bit warmer in this picture, which I tried to fix). I found to be more of a crelly rather than a creme polish but it only needed two coats, like Fuchsia, to get full opacity and once again, is very glossy. A classic red by all means.

What's different about this particular range of Kiko polishes is that the brush is EXTREMELY wide and the length of the brush also has notches along it so that any excess polish drips down the handle onto the brush rather than collecting and possibly plopping on your unsuspecting hand. While the brush's width would be a benefit for someone like myself with (usually) longer or quite wide nails, I can imagine that it might be too big for some people so bear that in mind before you might purchase the polish.

I wore all three polishes (in the form of nail art which I forgot to photograph of course) to test them out during the week to find out how well they lasted on the nail. By the end of the week, there was some significant tip wear but not chips. I did wear the polishes with top coat but I presume this is what most people would do if they wanted their nails to last a week. I type a lot so this contributes to tip wear but its just something to be aware of if you work in an office but its nothing a quite swipe across the top of the nail half way through the week won't fix.
